Order History Redesign
A redesign that makes it easier for users to reorder meals through the restaurants they frequently order from.
Background
Order history needed an update to improve usability and refresh the visual design. I began by looking at data we had collected on usage to inform the initial designs which were then tested in person before going live. The main goals of this project were:
Design a responsive experience for reordering
Prepare prototypes for in person user testing
Create a way to display orders by restaurant instead of individual orders
Role
UI/UX
Prototyped two iterations for user testing & worked with research to develop scripts for testing
Worked with product managers, data analytics, and researchers to solidify the final designs
Old Designs
In the older version of Past Orders we used tabs to separate individual orders and orders grouped by restaurant. From data we collected over 30 days, we learned that people seemed to be using order history to get to restaurants they've ordered from, but were mainly reordering through the orders tab. This heavily influenced decisions I made for the redesign, mainly because we knew keeping an aggregate view of orders by restaurant would be valuable.

Redesign
When users come to their order history they will see their most recent orders organized by restaurant. Each restaurant lists one order, and the rest can be found in restaurant page when they press "View all orders." This was done to make it easier to navigate to menu pages, find older orders more quickly by organizing them by date, and reduce the repetition in the list of orders. To simplify the information on reorder cards, I decided to leverage a modal for the order details including: price breakdowns for each item ordered, and allow diners to Express reorder, or Add to bag.
